About the position
The Expert ColdFusion/Lucee Developer will support, maintain, and modernize legacy applications within the travel domain. The role focuses on advanced ColdFusion/Lucee development, troubleshooting, and integration work across long-standing systems. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance reliability, maintainability, and performance while supporting modernization initiatives.

Key responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance applications built on ColdFusion/Lucee within legacy travel-related systems.

Troubleshoot complex issues, optimize performance, and ensure application stability across interconnected components.

Modernize legacy codebases by improving structure, maintainability, and integration with newer technologies.

Collaborate with analysts, architects, and other developers to support end-to-end system improvements.

Implement secure coding practices and ensure adherence to internal development standards.

Support integrations between legacy systems and modern APIs or services.

Contribute to documentation, technical design, and knowledge sharing within the team.

Provide expert-level insights to guide long-term modernization and refactoring strategies.

Competencies
-
Expert-level experience (7+ years) developing and maintaining applications in ColdFusion and/or Lucee.

Proven background working with legacy enterprise systems, preferably within travel or similarly complex domains.

Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills.

Experience integrating legacy systems with modern APIs, services, or cloud components.

Solid understanding of secure coding practices and enterprise development standards.

Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and provide technical leadership.

Fluency in English.
