RF Design Engineer

Wrocław, Warszawa

About the position

  • Participation in the development of advanced RF systems for satellite and 5G communication as part of a larger multidisciplinary team,

  • Simulation, implementation, and testing of RF systems,

  • Designing mixed-signal electronics with both digital and analog signals,

  • Designing Schematics and multilayer PCB boards for radio frequencies,

  • Assisting in development and running of tests and simulations,

  • Component selection and market analysis in terms of designing process,

  • Preparation of technical documentation,

  • Collaboration with the entire team, including embedded software developers, FPGA/DSP engineers, mechanic engineers and antenna designers, with the aim of enhancing products,

  • Collaboration with external manufacturers and research & development institutions.

 

Requirements

  • Practical knowledge of design principles and prototyping of RF/Microwave systems,

  • Familiarity with analog radio frequency engineering concepts (e.g. filters, power dividers, couplers, amplifiers, signal up/down conversion, synthesizers, compression, phase noise etc.),

  • Proficiency in CAD tools – strong knowledge of Altium Designer,

  • Basic knowledge of EM simulation environments such as HFSS or CST,

  • Experience in designing RF systems above 5 GHz,

  • Experience in budget link calculations,

  • Knowledge of signal and power integrity concepts,

  • Soldering and assembling skills for propotyping,

  • Familiarity with lab equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, generators, multimeters, etc.),

  • Experience in characterizing RF systems for RF parameter testing and EMC compliance,

  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical problems and debugging efficiently and independently,

  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams working from different remote locations,

  • English – communicative level. The company is international, and conversations with the USA may occur. Documentation is in English,

  • Optional: Experience in design within the Ku/Ka band range,

  • Optional: Experience with HDI PCB designs,

  • Optional: Familiarity with software-defined radios,

  • Optional: Knowledge of modulation concepts (ex. PSK, APSK, QAM),

  • Optional: Knowledge of 5G/Satellite communication in terms of whole network,

  • Optional: Strong knowledge of EMC concepts,

  • Optional: Familiarity with common digital interfaces, including I2C, SPI, CAN, UART, etc.,

  • Optional: Experience in designing and managing power supplies,

  • Optional: Experience with Python or Matlab,

  • Optional: Familiarity with C/C and/or embedded systems,

  • Optional: Basic knowledge of FPGA / DSP concepts.
